Richard Bong State Recreation Area
Who doesn’t love the sound of leaves crunching beneath your feet and the crispness of the air on an October day?
Wolf Pack Trail Run and Relay is the perfect way to enjoy all the sights and sounds of the fall season.
The town of Lyons and the White River Trail is the host for this fall ultra-event. Parking will be at the Riverview Park, just south of the bridge on Mill Street.
The White River Trail is a beautiful, flat, easy, former SOO rail line passing by numerous bridges, scenic vistas, quaint towns, farmlands, and wetlands through Wisconsin's Southeast Glacial Plains landscape all under the canopy of fall colors.
Start times for this multi-distance event are:
8:00 a.m. for the 18, 26.2, and 44-mile event
9:00 a.m. for the 3 and 6-mile event
This event will be "self-supported" (i.e. you will have to provide your own drinks and fuel for running) and self-timed due to COVID.
For those who are doing longer events: The White River Trail runs east/west and is 11 miles long. The event starts approximately 2.5 miles from the east trailhead in Burlington and 8.5 miles from the west most trailhead in Elkhorn. As of right now, there will not be a drop at the Burlington trailhead. There will be a drop table at the start, at the Pedal and Cup which is three miles west of our starting point, and at the Elkhorn trailhead. The furthest distance between aid stations will be the 5 miles to and from the east most trailhead in Burlington.
We appreciate your understanding and acceptance of these changes to our trail events during this time. Following this event, enjoy a soda or water on us. Beer or other food can be purchased to support Town of Lyons businesses.
XCThrillogy is offering RUNSURANCE on this event. If for any reason you are unable to attend the Wolf Pack Trail Run and Relay, you can defer your entry to the next year's event, run a similarly priced event, or get 80% of your entry fee refunded.
