This even is very beginner friendly with small elevation gains through open prairie and into a small wooded section seeing wildlife is almost a guarantee. Throw in a couple of bridge crossings over small creeks and you have the recipe of a perfect trail run in southeast Kansas.
Run primarily on the Cat Claw Trail, this looped event gives participants the ability to run 3.3, 6.6, 9.9, or 13.2 miles making it perfect for all trail runners and canicrossers.
Please note that all racers must have a state parking pass. One Day Park Passes are offered at the gate for $5.
For all of our camp loving runners and canicrossers from near or far, Fall River offers camping year around, there are many sites in the park with beautiful views of the lake and scenery of the area and several sites being only minutes walking distance from the starting line.

Go to Quarry Bay Campround/Marina by main damn of lake, follow main road into Quarry Bay after passing the day pay station and continue on road until you reach the boat ramp then turn north on blue steam road and follow north until you see event. There will be signs as you come into park.
